ANOHNI: WILDERNESS

ANOHNI és una artista i compositora nascuda al Regne Unit, criada entre Amsterdam i Califòrnia, i establerta a Nova York des de finals dels anys noranta. La seva obra es caracteritza per una profunda exploració de temes animistes, ecofeministes i espirituals, travessant gèneres que van de l’electrònica experimental al soul i la música clàssica contemporània. Va assolir el reconeixement internacional amb I Am a Bird Now (2005), guardonat amb el Mercury Music Prize. Des d’aleshores ha desenvolupat una trajectòria influent amb discos aclamats com HOPELESSNESS i My Back Was A Bridge For You To Cross. El 2016 va ser nominada als Premis Oscar per la cançó Manta Ray, reafirmant el seu compromís artístic i ambiental. ANOHNI oferirà un concert íntim i especial al Palau de la Música Catalana de Barcelona, sent l’únic concert a Espanya del tour “ANOHNI: WILDERNESS”, acompanyada pel pianista Gaël Rakotondrabe, el percussionista Chris Vatalaro i el guitarrista Leo Abrahams.

ANOHNI is an artist and composer born in the United Kingdom, raised between Amsterdam and California, and based in New York since the late 1990s. Her work is distinguished by a profound exploration of animist, ecofeminist, and spiritual themes, spanning genres from experimental electronic music to soul and contemporary classical. She achieved international recognition with I Am a Bird Now (2005), which won the Mercury Music Prize. Since then, she has developed an influential career with acclaimed albums such as HOPELESSNESS and My Back Was A Bridge For You To Cross. In 2016, she received an Academy Award nomination for the song Manta Ray, reaffirming her artistic and environmental commitment. ANOHNI will perform a special and intimate concert at the Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona, marking the only Spanish date of the “ANOHNI: WILDERNESS” tour, accompanied by pianist Gaël Rakotondrabe, percussionist Chris Vatalaro, and guitarist Leo Abrahams.
